Hi All.
I've noticed with Launch Control on my R36 that it appears to shift harder and at higher RPM than if you launch normally from 'D' or 'S' by just stamping on kick-down. Strangely... while Launch Control is documented in the R36 Supplementary Information book it isn't mentioned that the rev-limiter would be higher, or the shifts any more harsh... which is strange.
Under a normal launch it changes at 6800rpm, and the changes even at the redline are smooth. If you've left with Launch Control it seems to hold out until 7050rpm (into the red) and each shift is harder, pushing you into the seat again like somebody ragging a stick-shift...
Purely curious... Is this normal across Launch Control on all DSGs? It seems pretty cool / useful for Santa Pod
