need oil top up?

When i start my car this morning a message flashing through my dashboard says check oil level.I then check the dip stick level and its on minimum level. i had oil change a year ago,and its long life they said.my question is,where can i get this long life oil or is there a garage that top up this oil?or it is a trip to a dealer?please give me some advise, suggestions, as i dont know anything about this..
