car misting up after new fan fitted

Post by geoffd » Wed Jun 12, 2019 3:19 pm

Hi All
ive a 2007 TDI saloon and have replaced the heater motor , pollen filter and resistor and now have a car that mists up and when any one of the windows is open can hear air rushing in behind the glove box (which I removed during removal and installation of heater motor)
What have I done
before I pull it apart again any help would be gratefully received
thanks

It'll be when you did the pollen filter, make sure all the plastic you took off are seated right

Maybe something to do with air recirculation flap? Windows are misting when air recirculation is turned on. Maybe you can't turn it off because something is broken or stuck.

Its worth checking its blowing the right direction.

Ive had in the past, incorrect fans fitted and incorrect wiring causing fans to rotate backwards, but not on VW.
