BKP tandem pump

Well my saga continues fix one thing then something else pops up, anyway tandem/vacuum pump question, strong smell of diesel from engine, looks bit dark on top of gearbox housing ect, first impressions gasket needs replacing but is it just the main? Or do I need strip the pump it self or even worse I'm looking at new pump?
