Headlights, blurry cut off. Valeo model not Hella

Hi everyone, my2010 highline Passat is fitted with Valero headlights instead of the Hella type I believe is more commonly found. I was going to order up a HiD kit from a popular member but in the meantime I stuck some Osram nightbreakers I had lying in a new box in and the beam cut off has a blue tinted blurry line in the drivers side. Compared to the passenger side there is very little blue tint and tighter cut off. ( not taking about overall beam tint, just the cut off tint from the projector shield)

Any ideas guys. Bulbs are seated correctly, refitted twice. Also noticed it's not a metal bulb holder, it's a plastic base with the wires attached which turns 30 degrees and pulls the whole bulb out. Anybody know how easy this is to fit the H7 HID kit into? I'll get pictures tomorrow.
