Is it possible to fit a second hand convenience unit to my B6 passat from another vehicle without having to reprogram something? If I do need to get it reprogrammed will I damage anything putting a "foreign" unit into my car without clearing the codes first. Should a non VAG garage with plenty of diagnostic etc equipment be able to re code it?
