Parking brake fault

2006 2.0tdi 140 bkp engine code no auto hold.

After advice or clues to my handbrake fault

Handbrake seems to working fine applying n releasing.
But P light on dash and button flashing.
Constant beeping to start then while driving an annoying ding ding noise.
