b6 heater blower motor

b6 heater blower motor

Hi all,new to ukpassats,just brought a 2006 vw passat tdi sport really happy with the car but have found out the heater blower motor is not working, VW have quoted me £500 to have a new motor fitted,anyone know where the motor might be or if anyone has had any problems with the passat b6 heater motor,any help would be really appreciated.
