Won't start after stalling

Hi all,

I've had my B7 for just over 4 years and it's never really given me a moments problems. Always started on the button, every time.

I stalled it pulling out of a junction in the wrong gear last week and it wouldn't restart. As soon as I stalled it I put the clutch pedal down and it tried to restart on it's own but it just wouldn't bite. I ended up getting recovered home on the back of a truck. I've replaced the battery, as it would only turn the engine a couple of times before it died but even with a new one it won't start.

I'm going to check fuel pump fuses today but is does anyone have any thoughts?
