My 2011 Passat drivers door has been a little unreliable at opening from the outside and today has given up opening. I can only open the door from the inside handle.
Has anyone got any thoughts on what might be the issue? I was thinking it might be the cable from the exterior door handle which has worn.
Having looked at the Hayles manual it looks a horrible job to get at it. Do I really need to:
- Remove the window
- Electric window mechanism
Is there an easier fix before I start open heart surgery on the door?
