2011 Estate rear parking buzzer location

Dear All,

I have a 2011 Passat Estate automatic DSG with the 2.0l 140bhp engine. Great car for my young family but I have one annoying issue - whenever rear gear is engaged, the rear parking sensor sounds continuously. Very occasionally this does not happen and the system works as it should, but I cannot figure out any reason why this happens when it does.

I am tempted to just disconnect the buzzer but, after removing the side trim in the boot on both sides, do not obviously see where it is. Can anyone tell me where it's located exactly? Or should I just replace the sensors and that will solve the problem? Any advice gratefully received...
