Alarm trigger

So early hours alarm on the car kept repeatedly going off.

I’ve put it down to tailgate as the cluster screen was flickering the tailgate as open and closed intermittently.

I randomly decided to release the factory fitted towbar which made the boot close nearly crushing me!

Another random thing boot would close via the fob which it he never done.

I’m thinking water is shorting something?
