Bluetooth problem

Hi
New member here looking for advice. I have just bought a 2011 2.0tdi bluemotion tech Passat, but I’m finding it impossible to connect my iPhone via Bluetooth. I’ve followed the instructions in the book, watched load of YouTube videos and even taken it to my local VW service centre, but they couldn’t pair it, either. It’s like the two are not compatible. Is there a replacement Bluetooth module I can swap over to make my phone compatible with the car?
