Reversing camera

Hi guys
New owner of an executive style which I love with HID and LED DRL’s.
One issue the seller Said was reverse camera stopped working after it paid a visit to a vw garage. When reverse is selected I see no way to switch out of OPS and I also get no error like I have read people get when I do a google search..
Would doing a scam detect if there’s a fault? If so as a cheap option with coding will obdeleven do the trick
