B7 Rear Brakes - What a job!

Went to do the rear discs and pads on Sunday, what a job!!
Ordinarily it's not a huge job for me, done it loads in the past, but this is the first time i've done it on my Passat.
I was prepared for most of it, having Carista wind back the pistons for me, and the disc retaining screw behaving. What i was not prepared for, was the pad retaining bracket bolts hidden behind the hub. Located in such a way that some suspension components and wheel arch liner made it difficult to get a long enough bar in to undo the bolts (they were rather tight).
I think i ran out of expletives doing the job!
