Suspension nightmare,,

Post by Couchers » Wed Sep 19, 2018 5:11 am

Hi all, just had a bluefin remap on my 2013 2.0 bluemotion (138hp) saloon and really happy with the results - definitely a lot more pull in the mid range (painful :(( ).
I’m looking at doing a few more mods but am getting really frustrated as there seems to be limited parts for this model. Or if there are the parts I’m getting baffled by all the different models and variants. Can anybody recommend and/or send a link to a decent suspension set up? I don’t take the thing to the track but want a slightly firmer and more responsive drive. Due to this I was thinking springs and uprated shocks instead of coils.
Once the rides sorted it’ll be brakes and then go looking for more power again :D .

Are the B4s worth it? Was looking around for reviews, don’t seem to be as popular as the 8s and I was concerned they were too close to standard shocks. Could only find H&R springs, which appear to get very mixed reviews. It also states they give a 40mm drop when the B4s suggest not lowering more than 30.
Engine code CFF. Have seen a turbo/intercooler inc fitting for 2k that may fit. Excited by that prospect! Aiming for a bit of a sleeper powerhouse :-bd
Cheers for the help,

If you are going that far then yes Eibach with B8 ( Bilstein B12 kit ) you might want to consider the lower Eibach Sportline springs .

My bad, CFFB.
Have you got any links to where you buy your stuff from? Hopefully I’ll be able to identify some parts that fit. I would be using demon-tweeks in Wrexham, but as per my previous post every time I input my car they don’t seem to have anything for it.
Cheers,

Cheers man. The Pro-Kit sounds as though it’ll do what I need. If it comes to it I’ll just have to ring a few places and see what the crack is. Want it done after next pay day

Bilstein B12 kit 46-184412

Or individually .

Eibach Pro kit springs
E10-85-016-02-22 ,
there might be a bit of fine tuning right down to individual spring numbers depending on your axle weights on your main VIN sticker , 1 is front , 2 rear ?

Bilstein B8

Front 35-122081
Rear 24-178006

1120 and 1030.
What mods you got on yours? Anything you’d particularly recommend getting done?
Cheers

Remap is #1 .

I'd have to write two sides of A4 to list mine .

Pro kit E10-85-016-02-22 .

Yours , front 1120kg , rear 1030kg .

Double check front spring 11-15-007-03-VA it's a correct for you 1180kg as the 02-VA is just to 1070kg .

Rear 11-85-012-01-HA and is to 1160kg .
