Flat spot

Seeking advice from the collective.
Drove out to work this morning. Pulled away from the junction at the end of my road and all seemed fine. But as I accelerated away changing 2nd to 3rd there was what I can only describe as a real flat spot. Almost felt like it was misfiring in petrol terms. As the car warmed up it cleared. Happened again on the way home. Recently serviced and it's been fine until this morning.
Any ideas?
