Sat Nav v.9 update problem on RNS 315

Sat Nav v.9 update problem on RNS 315

Hello all,

1st time on the forum as a new member!

I've recently bought a 2014 VW Passat 2.0 TDI Tech Exec.

My RNS 315 Sat Nav was running v.4 Western Europe.

I decided to update it to v.9 (as read about problems with v.10).

So, inserted into SD slot and let it do it's 2 hour thing.

Came back to the message 'Error - Installation of the data has been cancelled'.

Decided to give it another go - got exactly the same message.

Pressed the NAV button on front of unit and then got message 'Please insert a medium with navigation data or start installation in the setup menu'.

So - there now appears no data on the internal flash drive but I can run the Sat Nav via the SD card?!

I wasn't given the original SD card with v.4 on when I bought the car.

Can I roll back the maps if I bought a v.4 SD card?

Help needed..................................
