Alltrack plastic wheel arch trim

Hi All, just picked up my new to me Alltrack. Noticed that my wheel arch trim is coming away slightly from the painted wheel arch directly below the diesel filler cap. It looks to me thst prevoiusly diesel has been spilt & the adesive has weakened ??
Has anyone else come accross this & is there an easy fix ? How do the plastic trims attach to the bodywork ?? Thanks in advance .
