nearside door indicator

only just noticed nearside door indicator isnt working, yet theres no lights on dash to tell me so, my model is B7 estate 2011. Apiece of ply board flipped up from road and hit it at some force and cracked cover of mirror, managed to replace cover but now indicators off, can you friendly bunch tell me how to fix, thanks
