Seen a lot of people complaining about rubbish fuel consumption after the VW emissions fix.
Well, I kinda noticed it too, but not definite, as I always doubted that our computer shows anything near the real consumption figure, but after Fox it seemed to show far less than before.
So, I did a test, last year b4 the fix, went on trip from Cardiff to Dover, it was 236miles long trip, car used then about 17 litres of diesel (had it recorded)
Today, same trip
Exactly same distance, spot on same weather conditions, same day time
236 miles x exactly 17 litres of diesel, that works out to be 63.02mpg
Similarly I kept cruising 65mph
Well, what can I say??
No difference whatsoever
I thought I'll post this as in my opinion nothing had changed, car works just the same, and as seen now no difference in fuel consumption
Let's hope it stays the same
