light knocking driver side front suspension

Hi I have a slight knock/ rattle on driver side front suspension. This occurs over small bumps,grates etc and sometimes changing gear 1st to 2nd/ 3rd though still does it if freewheeling. My workplace has a cobblestone drive and the knock accelerates going over them. It doesn't sound to be anything alarming just annoying. I have looked online at various posts which most seem to suggest roll bar/ drop link bushes. Is there any method for testing which bush is defective ? The car is a Passat highline 2013 60k miles
