Exterior lights

Just bought some of the led lights for the drl's that were mentioned on another thread. I had to do it as in my opinion, the yellow candles that are in at the moment really let the look of the car down.

I want to try and complete the look with brighter/whiter lights for the dipped/high beams fog lights and side lights. I've looked on eBay and the options are endless. I've bought lights from eBay etc before for another car but I didn't really notice a difference in brightness or colour even though they claimed to be superior to the standard bulbs.

Has anyone got any recommendations? I don't really want to go down the hid route with ballasts and looms to fit and the potential mot issues.
