11 million VWs under review?

I suppose somebody's got to ask the question. So if VW's bosses are saying that it's only the EA189 engines that are suspected of having defeat modules, which Passat models have those fitted? Are they all 2 litres?

Afraid I've just suspended my search for a new Passat. Will have another look when the fuss has died down a bit, and when we know whether all the European cars affected will have to be detuned. Suddenly, my old 57 reg turbo diesel (pre-common rail) has never looked so attractive.

Unless, that is, some desperate dealer makes me an offer I really can't refuse?
