I was going to but 143 pages long! I will have to read it at some point I'm sure.

Guessing you've done the boot to. Plenty of light in there

R-line estate with winter pack and electric boot. Really wanted the led headlights but it was 25k for the one I've got or 36k for a custom build. No brainer really. I've added extra boot lights to my insignia estate so will likely do the same with this. Upgrade headlight bulbs and led DRL.

As soon as I find out what bulbs I need I'll be ordering. Led running lights look so much better. Can't believe they aren't standard.

I'm really torn with getting another B7 or a lesser spec B8 at the moment, I love my CC but it's just to small for a growing family.

Tomorrow I'm going to look at a 1.6tdi SE B8 estate after recently having one as a courtesy car (2.0 though) and I'm also going to view a B7 estate 2.0tdi in black with all the toys, leather, LED headlights and xenons, I'm just having the mental struggle of feeling like I'm going backwards from a CC back into a B7 which I did love, only reason I sold it was because of the leaking panoramic roof.

I was close with my roof but has been fine for months now. Been lubing it up every few months to keep the seals from drying out but I think the main thing was blocked drain pipes.

I had everything done, roof taken out and all seals replaced, lasted 12 months then leaked again, had it all done again the the roof bar seals were replaced, still leaked so lost a fortune and traded it in for a petrol CC, after having the diesel courtesy car for 8 days I've realised how great the engine is, we go out on long trips most weekends so DPF shouldn't be an issue, that's what's always scared me away from diesel.

Fingers crossed mine stays ok. I'd love a cc but all the older one only had 2 seat belts in the back. Need an estate with the dogs aswell

Reserved the car for viewing but it's actually off site having an MOT so won't be available to view tomorrow!

What's the service schedule on these, it's had a service in 2015 at 18k.

Looks tidy. I'd love the headlights like that one and the ones raf has put in. 2 years or 20 tho on long distance iirc.
Ps watch out it hasn't had the emissions fix

Hope the roof doesn't leak. I queried that with the dealer who looked at me like I was daft

Just phoned VW customer services and they told me it's already been fixed, should I be worried?

There are a lot of complaints and failing egr (not cheap) have a quick google. Or make sure you get a decent a warranty on it

I wouldn't be too worried about the fix
What I did straight after fix was a remap, car runs lovely, no issues
Remember that you'll be saving on road tax as well moving from Petrol CC

by the way, lovely example you found there
I'd much rather the B7 fully specd than the B8 in lower shelf class
Saying that tho, I got my B7, nicely specd, not as rich as the one you're about to view, but comparing it to my works B8 standard 1.6tdi (standard inside, no much to have fun with there, R line version look good only outside), I much prefer my own B7 estate

And the 2.0tdi remapped works awesome

Another point supporting B7 option rather than B8, biXenon assist lights with LED DRLS
drive once in a night and you'll appreciate the fact you bought the higher version B7

I say: GO FOR IT!!!

Looks like the Executive Style... lovely spec'd motor. If you are lucky there might be some additional extras.

Meant to say the fix was done in July last July at 31500 miles, it's now on 33000, so it's not done much in 12 months which is another worry for me!

Maybe they meant this year.. as far I know it's been mainly late last year and this year the 2.0 fix

Worthwhile checking Honest John's review on the B7 and check out the history section to get an idea of the trim level.

Good luck choosing.

You know what? I've not even been to see it because the garage have yet to ring me and tell me it's back in site, last I heard on Saturday it was still at an MOT centre awaiting parts, I've heard nothing since.

I've half talked myself into a B8 though, last night I put my CC on autotrader (gonna advertise it on here later if I can) because I'm sick of garages trying to rip me off and it's a bloody good car for someone.
