Engine Warning Light

HI,

I'm a newbie and this is my first post.

I have a B7 61 plate 2.0TDI SE estate.

back in April the orange engine warning light came on.

After repeated diagnostics and all major faults being ruled out I eventually had a engine temperature sensor replaced as this is what the diagnostic code was pointing at.

Drove for a week and a half 'cured' when a couple of weeks ago it randomly came back on.

In essence everytime you start the car it comes on and stays on.

Went back to my garage this morning and another diagnostic check was showing the same fault.

One thought is it might just be a software glitch and needs a VW dealership to reboot, or whatever it is they do, the firmware.

Has anyone else had a similar problem and if so what was the solution?
