Update:

Bought the part from X8R, bought the tool as well but i can't unscrew the 3 small bolts around the main one. Are very tight so probably needs a good tool and powerfull?

Did someone have a similar problem? Also do you know if someone have the right tool to help (by paying of course)

Same story for me . Centre bolt proved difficult to remove, used the method advocated by "pressurized" ie remove three screws and lever between plate and pulley while unscrewing by hand-worked beautifully!

This was a design fault -Vw should have fixed it during a service.

I was out of warranty and VW paid for my aircon pump replacement. 70% was paid by head office and 30% by the local dealership 🙂

Well I have ordered a repair kit and will have a go at fitting next weekend.....

I've got same issue now. 2011 diesel passat.

But dont know if it needs a regas or compressor is goneand only way to find out is a regas at £60

Just got it checked at f1 autocentre. Its the compressor
