I only have one key with my 2011 Passat.
If I buy one on eBay 2nd hand can a VW independent garage programme it?
I spoke to one today in Cornwall and they said it's not an easy thing to do as the immobiliser chip could be one of 5 different types and knowing which one my car needs is impossible to know. They said they could programme it to lock / unlock but not start the car??
Is this true? Any thoughts please?
