Windscreen condensation

Due to the cold weather recently, I'm seeing a lot of condensation on the inside of the front and rear windscreen of my 2011 Passat B7 saloon The condensation is so bad on the rear windscreen that it is freezing again into ice.
I'm not aware of any build up of water or leaks in the case. I've tried leaving air vents open and closed, but the same problem occurs. Any suggestions to reduce this would be appreciated.
