Finally had remap done today, gone from 134bhp to 189 and torque has gone from 251 to 317. Look forward to seeing the difference all round now and see if MPG improves
:-bd

Rolling road with custom map or estimated with premade map??

MPG won't improve much
Tested it on the same trip from Wales Germany, once b4 mapping, 2nd time after mapping.
Same figure as yours, also rolling road tested, custom map...

But the thing is, having that more lively throttle response, little more hamsters under the bonnet, but yet the same fuel consumption, it is an all win win

Well done bro
By the way, have we seen your car yet??
If not, post some pictures

So, for the last 3 weeks I've put about 3000 miles on the clock...

We went on our Europe trip again.
Something has changed: as we usually took extra time for the returning trip, cruising at 60mph max, this time I decided to take the GOOGLE MAP trip time estimate, that was 13 hours from A to B, which involved hundreds of miles through German no speed limit autobahns, and plenty of rather high speed limit dual carriage ways (87mph)...
Including 4 traffic jams, loosing is nearly 2hrs all together, we got to the ferry in 12,5 hours...
Take that there was no traffic jams, it'd take us around 10,5 hours to do the trip that we used to do in 18 hours...

Ask me how ;)

On autobans, never went slower than 100mph, never faster than 130mph...
On 87mph limit ways, never went slower than 87, never faster than 90...
Having such a long trip, in mid 30s Celsius heat, car must have had a good sooth clean out...
One thing I've noticed, car now is even more responsive

Average fuel consumption?
According to the on-board computer: 45.1mpg
On fill to fill calculation: 44.5mpg

Considering the type of drive it was, I'm super happy!!!

Anyway, when you're in Germany, driving remapped 2.0tdi, don't think you can take on any car there because yr doing over 120mph...

In other words, I WAS SLOW :hyst :0  :hyst

I didn't (wife), sleeping pills didn't do the job :hyst
I stopped at 135mph, but that was on the way from North Coast of Germany to Austria...
I don't think there was plenty left, and the wind was against us

Heater pipes that go through the bulk head, new grommets and it's fine now.

Finally, had some time to perform a washing of a car after that looooong trip...
It was much required as it hasn't been washed for over 3 weeks now

Also, got rid of me silver wrapped mirrors, and fitted chrome ones...
The pic above shows it as well

I like them chrome cover even more than the silver. That's a good find.

Hi Raf - What brand/colour of paint did you use on your calipers, they look really smart!

Sorry if this question has been answered previously.

Cheers
