Drivers door won't open from outside

Having problems with my central locking, all doors work fine except the drivers door, the locking mechanism makes a short buzzing sound when you activate or deactivate the central locking via the key or the button inside the car. The door will lock and I can open it from the inside but not from handle outside. Once it's unlocked from inside, the handle will work on the outside. I have to climb into the rear seat or passenger door to unlock it from the inside which is quite annoying. Help appreciated
