Good afternoon gentlemen. After enquiring a newer 2012 Passat 140, Im looking to get an upgrade on the factory set engine performance of 138 (140?)hp. Reading through a few posts, it seems that a good upgrade would be to fit a larger turbo from a 170hp model and then have a remap done to aquire somewhere along the lines of 200+bhp. If this is the case can someone tell me which is the better turbo to go for as Ive seen a few on Ebay and they look slightly different. Is there a specific unit to get?
Fitting of the turbo unit wouldnt be a problem as Im fairly adept at shuffling spanners but I would like some input on this upgrade as Im sure it must have been done before and wouldnt like to make any mistakes. Gordon T.
