I was in a B7 Wagon testerday and their was a sound as if the rear wheel bearings had failed. I was told this was the rear tyre issue and no it was never resolved when the B7 came along.
The other lad with us has a B7 and he too says his is doing the same. Both did not seem too bothered and said only cure is new tyres. Then laughed how the dealers blamed them for not swapping tyres diagnally and having to much air in them!
This is my first Passat and mine does not make any noise. I would go spare if it was that noisy. I would be camped outside VW till they fixed it. The only diffrence is mine is the saloon and theirs is the wagon.
So is it because of the body shape or just cause the VW rear end is pooo?
mmm thought the B7 was the cure for rear tyre issues
