2011 B7 2.0 TDI Estate Sport filthy back end...

Good day all.

Any of you with the 2011 2.0 TDI Estate Sport noticed how filthy the rear screen becomes on a wet road...?
How do you cope with a permanently filthy back screen at this time of year? Rear wiper working overtime and on almost permanently. I'm buying some mud flaps in the hope it will go some way to a cure but not convinced it will, as the sport is a bit low on the ground. Anyone had rear flaps fitted and if so, do they solve the problem..??
