Hi all, my 1.9 AWX hadn't been used for a few days, went to start it which it did for a split second then stopped and now it just turns over and over.
I've checked cambelt which is fine (replaced 5k miles ago), checked tank pump by removing top of filter hises and it pumps for a second or so.
Trued spare key in case didn't see key chip.
I have vcds but it shows no stored engine faults which I don't understand.
I'm thinking it could be crank position sensor and I'm not sure what else will stop a PD motor from starting.
Mechanically it is in very good condition and always starts instantly.
Glow plugs appear to be working too as tested on vcds.
Any thoughts appreciated.
