Can’t believe it
Just completed a successful timing belt and water pump change on my b5.5, decided to treat it to some fresh oil and then cross threaded the sump plug on the female side.
Quick fix with thread lock on thread and heat resistant gasket maker on both sides of the washer and just pinched up finger tight. Will wait for it all to harden before acid test of adding the oil.
Has anyone repaired the sump with a heli- coil? Or by any other means?
