Front upper control arms

Right bear with me!!!!
I’m in the process of putting bilstein b4s and eibach springs on my sport wagon.
No having taken it all off(spring snapped) I’ve checked my upper control arms and they ain’t great.... so gonna change them whilst out.
Now Bentley manual talks about 47mm +-2 mm for the arm setting.
But because I’m going on lower springs is what I’m proposing to to ok?
I’m gonna everything on with the control arm nuts loose,Jack up the hub so I lift the weight of the car off the stands and then tighten everything up!!!!
