...I'm after a double din, Android, 7" jobbie, preferably a Pumpkin. Read up a little with reference to Mindriots comments on said head unit/s.
FYI - To fitted into a 2005 B5.5 estate, TDI highline - Was original Gamma unit and CD unit in the double din space. Now has a single din aftermarket unit.
Question is, said double din head units don't come with cage as far as I can tell. Do I need one? If so, what do I get as its a minefield for aftermarket cages. Same question for the plastic surround. Lots to choose, and in the same ballpark size.
Also, if I remember correctly, the permanent live and ignition live, do they need swapping round on the unit harness?
Any other pointers/links appreciated chaps and chapettes.
