Interior lights not working

hi

interior lights dont come on when when i unlock the car with the key or when i remove the key from the ignition. switches are in the correct position on the lights themselves.

these gave up the ghost a while ago. used to work fine, then started to flicker when on intermittently, then stopped working all together. could it be a wiring problem and are there any common issues known for this so i can start looking in the correct place?
