Crankcase Breather Pipe to Air....

Post by BIG F@ TW@ »

So today I have been having a fiddle around and carried out the Vac Simplification Mod. Whilst I was there I also relocated the N75 valve to just behind the airbox for easier access etc.

This got me thinking about the crankcase breather pipe, because on my previous Pashat the owner had done the EGR delete but had also blocked off the crankcase breather inlet to the turbo pipe, he had then added a length of pipe from the crankcase breather and had it venting to air down at the bottom of engine bay.

In my mind this is harmless because it's removing the oily air from entering the turbo. Am I right in thinking this? Also is this where an oil catch-can would be installed instead of just venting to air?
