Power steering fluid change

Hello,
Looking to do a bit of preventative maintainance on my 2005 Passat (B5.5), namely the power steering fluid. I’m pretty sure it’s the original fluid (so nearly 15 years and 132000 miles old). No issues with steering, pump, leaks or noise etc.
What are people’s thoughts on the turkey baster method? I.e. sucking fluid out of the reservoir and replacing it with new, the using car a for a few days and repeating several times? Favour this method for simplicity and is better than doing nothing I presume?
So long as the correct fluid is used, can you see any issues with mixing old with new?
