Okay, I’ve been having major cold start misfire issues for a long time now, ever since I did my camshaft.
Basically, on a dead cold start, it fires straight up, then misfires until it warms up for 5minutes. During this time it’s undriveable and runs on three cylinders whilst pumping out mushroom clouds of sickly, diesel scented grey smoke.
Things replaced:
Loom
Cam
Timing etc
Faults:
Intermittent misfire cylinder 1
Injector idle smoothing is all over the place during the “event” but almost all zero once it’s warmed up. It seems like a compression issue to me. But comes and goes as if it’s something electronic..
Cold Start
After 60 secs
All of a sudden
I have a video I can upload shortly.
I suspected injector no1 but it seems to be pumping unburnt diesel out while it’s happening. It also knocks quite bad during and ticks all the time under warm normal operation.
Any help appreciated.
Cheers
