Handbrake effort

Post by mark2238 »

Morning,

Has anyone experienced similar issues replaced discs and pads on the rear of my passat and also a n/s/r caliper as it was seized, job went well bleed the new caliper with vacuum pump via the caliper Brought some fluid through ok.footbrake pumps hard no spongyness. All caliper sliders free carriers clean etc.
Issue I have is the handbrake it self feels good no freeplay slack like before however it seems to lock up the o/s/r earlier or less clicks than the n/s/r if I pull it up a little more the n/s/r also locks up fine, I've checked that both cables rest on the off lug in the caliper when hand brake off.

I'm thinking is the system going to sort it self out self adjust bed in?
Is there possibly still some air in the n/s/r caliper letting the piston retract.?

Any ideas much appreciated
