Right this is the official fix for the pollen seal leak that many of us have been accustomed to fixing. It in as many words admits liability and details a revised method of sealing.

It is worth following this method if any of you are re-sealing the pollen filter. If you have any damage issues then print this and take it to the dealer and say that it proves they know there is a fault and ask for compensation. If you get no joy there phone VW head office and ask for the Technical Manager Mark Randall
