Coolant blocking cap

So yesterday on my way to my dads almost there and noticed steam coming from the bonnet once I got there popped the bonnet and was greeted with lots of steam. Thought I would let it cool down, topped up coolant with water and let the car idle. Noticed it started leaking from coolant blocking cap, was unable to to do anything about it. Called AA out put a temp fix got home. Now trying to find someone breaking a Passat in berkshire or Wiltshire as this part is going to be special order. Anyone know anyone.
