No speakers only tweeters

Hi all
Was travelling home from work the other day playing music through a sony xplod when the front passenger speaker had a breakdown (been going for a while) all of a sudden i am left with no door speakers front or rear only the tweeters work. If any of you lovely bunch could shed some light on this i would be eternally grateful.
