Hi All
B5.5 with 312mm brakes, fairly new discs and pads.
Recently the front driver side has started rubbing once per revolution, a proper metallic sound.
I took disc and pads off and found no issues over the weekend, greased the pad location faces and all back together, but no change.
There is no judder under braking so I don't think the discs are warped.
Its at all speeds, when driving slowly with windows down (next to a wall) its very loud.
When I jack up that corner and spin the wheel it rubs, with caliper removed there is no rubbing. There is a slightly polished part of the disc where it rubs on each turn.....so it doesn't seem to be driveshaft.
I could try replacing the caliper?? Could it be a sticking caliper?
Im not fully sure whats going on.... it points towards a high spot on the disc, but shouldn't this have worn down pretty quickly if rubbing? I checked that no crud was between hub and disc.
I could change the disc and pads fairly cheaply I suppose to see if it makes any difference
Disc/pad rubbing once per revolution?
