Just wondered if i could pick your brains. I bought a one owner full service history car a few months back, with a little help from your wonderful community here i cleaned my egr valve and the car instantly ran better.
Now the only 1.9tdi 130 i have driven prior to this had been remapped but just recently i got to drive another, a friends stock 1.9 130 and i was surprised to find how much more responsive his was at lower revs. He then drove mine and he agreed it felt like it was being strangled, choked, held back.
I find that i am having to use all of my rev range to get any kind of speed out of the car. If i go on the motorway the car will not pick up speed in 6th gear and find I'm having to drop down to 4th on inclines to get speed up.
I took it to VW as one person suggested that the air mass sensor may be playing up but they got nothing from the codes.
Like I say, once over 2500/3000 RPM she pulls like a train but lower than that its painful.
Any helpful suggestions would be greatly received.
