Dont laugh...Bought some aftermarket front brake calipers,ate copies,very good and I am pleased with them.
Problem was I gave the caliper spring a tweak to tighten it a little to stop pad rattle....this pulled the caliper closer to the disc, and caused the disc to rub the inside of the caliper..very slightly mind. The noise sounded like a ripped drive shaft boot.
Have had to untweak the spring a bit.
These calipers are semi floating on the pins, spring too loose you get pad rattle, too tight and you lathe the caliper.
So peeps dont tweak the big outer spring its tension is set for a purpose....we all make mistakes.
