Brakes not great after startup

Brakes not great after startup
Well since the snow started I've noticed an issue with my brakes. In the morning or when car has been parked up a few hours the brakes initially feel like they're not servo assisted. I get in start car and pull away. On pressing brakes for the first time the brake pedal is really stiff and takes longer distant to stop. Feels like no servo assistance. However after initial braking they then function fine. I can't hear any hissing . Anyone have had any similar issues in past?
